Guide to Choosing Desserts when Planning an Event Menu

But when you plan one at PineCrest, we do all the heavy lifting so you can focus more on whatever social event or milestone you are planning, be it an anniversary, wedding, or birthday. Since we take care of all the food, you just have to decide what’s on the menu. Here is our guide to choosing desserts when planning an event menu. No matter your preferences, we’re sure to have options to please your palates.

1. Go for an assortment.

Want to give your guests some options to choose from? We have you covered. For a selection of mini desserts, try the Viennese Table. With this one, you’ll be treated to a selection of mini desserts, including lemon squares, walnut bars, brownies, raspberry crumb, and chocolate-covered strawberries.

2. Go traditional with ice cream.

We have several ice cream options up for grabs for a universally loved dessert. The Old Fashion Ice Cream Cart is the most traditional, with eight flavors of ice cream and all the toppings, like syrups, nuts, sprinkles, and candies. Or you could opt for Assorted Ice Cream Novelties, like mini ice cream sandwiches, popsicles, and bonbons. You can make your dessert more portable with the Butlered Mini Ice Cream Cones, which lets you choose from vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, plus chocolate mousse. Finally, turn dessert into cocktail hour with Butlered Mini Ice Cream Parfaits, which are mixed with Amaretto, Creme de Menthe, Baileys, Chambord, or Kahlua.

3. Dessert with a show.

Choose the Creme Brulee Station and enjoy the fun presentation that comes with the preparation. (Who doesn’t like a little pre-dessert entertainment?)

4. Serve it up with a twist.

The Berries Romanoff Station, which is served in a martini glass for an elevated, elegant presentation, includes a medley of berries tossed in Cointreau and sugar, topped with whipped cream and fresh mint.

The most important tip in our guide to choosing desserts when planning an event menu is that you pick the best options for you and your guests, and know that we can accommodate any budget. Our desserts range from $3–8 per person, making it affordable (and tasty) no matter what you’re looking to spend. Then, once you make your decision, we’ll take care of the rest.
